A house in Ward No. 19 of Myingyan Township, Mandalay Region, was destroyed in a fire after a solar inverter reportedly overheated and caught fire at around 2 am today.

According to reports, the blaze started when a solar inverter installed in the house overheated, igniting the fire. Firefighters, assisted by fire engines, water tankers, and local residents, brought the blaze under control under the supervision of District Fire Chief U Aung Thet Hlaing and Township Fire Chief U Aung Ko Thant.

The homeowner, Daw Khin Htay Yi, is being investigated in connection with the incident at Myoma Police Station in Myingyan.— Chit Oo Nwe (Myingyan)
