THE Bogyoke Aung San Museum (Yangon) in Bahan Township, Yangon Region, has completed 100 per cent of its major restoration work while preserving its original architectural features, according to the National Museum (Yangon).
The restoration project began in November 2025 and was undertaken in preparation for a special exhibition marking the 79th Martyrs’ Day, which falls on 19 July 2026.
The project was implemented out by the Ministry of Hotels, Tourism and Culture and the Ministry of Construction, with the original design and architectural features carefully preserved. The Federation of Myanmar Engineering Societies and the Myanmar Architects Council also participated in the restoration. — ASH/KNN
