THE Bogyoke Aung San Museum (Yangon) in Ba­han Township, Yangon Region, has completed 100 per cent of its major restoration work while preserving its original architectural features, according to the Nation­al Museum (Yangon).

 

The restoration pro­ject began in November 2025 and was undertak­en in preparation for a special exhibition mark­ing the 79th Martyrs’ Day, which falls on 19 July 2026.

 

The project was implemented out by the Ministry of Hotels, Tour­ism and Culture and the Ministry of Construc­tion, with the original design and architectural features carefully pre­served. The Federation of Myanmar Engineer­ing Societies and the Myanmar Architects Council also participat­ed in the restoration. — ASH/KNN
