DEPUTY Minister for Construction U Myo Myint, accompanied by members of the Chin State Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Com­mittee, inspected the progress of reconstruc­tion work in Tonzang yesterday.

 

During an inspection of the Tiddim-Tonzang road, he instructed offi­cials to improve drain­age, construct culverts where needed, prevent rainwater damage and landslides, and ensure the road’s long-term du­rability.

 

At the Tonzang Township General Ad­ministration Depart­ment, he urged staff to follow laws and proce­dures, coordinate with relevant organizations and uphold the minis­try’s reputation, while addressing issues raised by departmental staff.

 

He also inspected the town’s cyclone shel­ter and the Tonzang Township Hospital (50- bed), where he discussed operational needs with medical staff, reviewed outpatient services and preparations for inpa­tient admissions, and presented financial as­sistance and coffee packs to patients and hospital staff, according to official sources. — MNA/KZL
