With the aim of promoting fire safety and emergency preparedness, a fire drill was conducted in conjunction with a knowledge sharing event in the compound of Myoma market in Thongwa Township, Yangon Region yesterday.
During the event, firefighters from the Township Fire Services Department demonstrated how to put out fire with a fire engine and a water tanker and shared knowledge about the risks of fire.
Afterwards, local people practically demonstrated how to use fire engines, water tankers and fire extinguishers when a fire breaks out in the area.
Chairman of the township Administration Council U Zaw Myo Min Aung and members, members of the Township Fire Services Department, official from the Township Development Committee and local people attended the event.—Ko Kyaw (Thongwa)
