Construction of a reinforced concrete water tank, which can store 1500-gallon water, has been implemented since June 27 this year in Letpyat Village in Mrauk-U Township of Rakhine State and now, all the projects were completed 100 percent.
Officials from the Township Department of Rural Development inspected the completion of the water tank on November 20 and stressed the importance of quality construction and maintenance.
The tank measuring nine ft. long, six ft. wide and five ft. high was constructed by local people with Ks. 10 million of DRD’s allocated funds in 2022-2023 FY. It will benefit 561 local people from 85 households in the village, according to an official from the Township Department of Rural Development.—Ko Than(DRD)
