Fingerlings release into Daka Creek in Kyonpyaw Twsp.

With the aims of increasing fish production and boosting socio-economic of local fishermen, a ceremony to release fish fingerlings into Daka Creek in Kyonpyaw Township, Ayeyawady Region was held on 10 August.

 

At the event, U Aye Naing of Pathein District Fisheries Department delivered a speech and discussed matters relating to a fish releasing ceremony. Then, chairman of the Township Administration Council U Zay Yar Min and officials handed over fingerlings to Department of Fisheries. 

 

Chairman of the Township Administration Council U Zay Yar Min and members, staff officer of the Township Department of Fisheries U Than Aung Maw and members, departmental officials and fishermen attended the event and jointly released a total of 500000 fingerlings including 300000 ngamyitchin and 200000 ngakhunma into the creek to further preserve the biodiversity of the Daka Creek.—Lapae Oo(IPRD)
