Four schools in Tanintharyi Township temporarily closed due to flood

Four schools in Tharyagon(South) Village, Inwainggon Village, Phoeme Village and Pawahtein Village in Tanintharyi Township, Tanintharyi Region have been temporarily closed due to this year’s flooding, according local people.

 

The flooding occurred from the first week of August and the water level in Pawa Creek exceeded over its danger mark.

 

There are 353 students form B.E.M.S. in Tharyagon(South) Village, 90 students from B.E.P.S. in Phoeme Village, 181 students from B.E.P.S. in Inwainggon Village and 157 students from B.E.P.S. in Pawahtein Village, according to the Township Education officer’s office.—Nan Tharyi(IPRD)
