Cash aid provided to pregnant women, children in Naungcho Twsp.

An event to provide financial aid to pregnant women and children below two years old was held at the meeting room of General Administration Department in Naungcho Township, Kyaukme District in Shan State(North) on 9 August.

 

First of all, chairman of the Township Administration Council U Sithu Lin delivered an opening speech. Then, deputy Administrator U Win Kyaw clarified the provision of cash aid for pregnant women and children below two years old, and an official from the Township Department of Social Welfare discussed matters relating to the provision of cash aid for pregnant women and children.

 

Under Maternal and Child Cash Transfer (MCCT) Program, 1439 pregnant women and children below two years old from six village tracts and six wards in the Township received Ks. 61.6 million.

 

There are 41 villages and wards in Naungcho Township. Officials continue to dispense cash aid to pregnant women and children in the remaining villages and wards in the Township.—Htway Nge (Naungcho IPRD)
