An awareness talk about earthquake was held in the Town of Danubyu, Maubin District of Ayeyarwady Region yesterday.
At the event, 15 firefighters from the township Department of Fire Services and 20 auxiliary firefighters elaborated on holding disaster drills, explained the aims of the awareness talk, discussed preventative measures and responses if a natural disaster occurs, and disseminated knowledge about the risks of earthquakes.
The departmental staff, policemen, firefighters, volunteers, local authorities and residents were also involved in the earthquake drill.—Township IPRD
