Construction of rural road in Wuntho Township completed by 60 %

With the aim of ensuring swift flow of commodity and saving time and money, the Township Department of Rural Development is implementing a rural road in Myaingzayyar Village in Wuntho Township, Sagaing Region, and all the projects have been completed by 60 percent so far, according to an official from the Township Department of Rural Development.

An earthen road measuring five furlongs in length plus two box culverts measuring five ft. in length and a bridge measuring ten ft. in length on the road are being constructed by Yamonkaung Company with Ks. 34.30 million of DRD’s allocated funds in 2019-2020 FY.

Once completed, it will benefit 399 rural people from 77 households in the village, helping them transport rural products to the markets in a timely manner.—Kyaw Myaing, IPRD
