Myanmar shipped thousands of shrimps to Japan, Middle East countries, European Union member countries, Malaysia, Taiwan Province of China and Australia. Myanmar Fisheries Federation and the Department of Fisheries are working together to boost fisheries export.
The department and exporters are working to meet the specific requirements of each importing country, to ensure continuous export, and not to decrease export volume depending on market conditions
To export to countries such as China, which have strict import requirements with mandatory COVID-19 testing, efforts are being made to comply with safety standards, meet market demands and prevent any decline in exports. — ASH/ KK
