Lechar, July 20
A rural road in Phway Hai Village, Lechar Township, Loilem District, Shan State (South), has been completed under the 2026–2027 Union Grant Fund, according to the Township Department of Rural Development.
Construction began in early May and was finished at a cost of K26 million. Built by the department's engineering team, the road measures four furlongs in length, 12 feet in width, and nine inches in height.
The new road will benefit 110 farmers by improving access to 570 acres of farmland and enabling faster, more cost-effective transport of agricultural products to market.—Than Lwin
