THE Department of Rural Development held an awareness talk to promote public knowledge of air pollution and environmental conservation among rural residents in Ywathit Village, Dekkhinathiri Township, on 4 July.
Daw Lae Lae Thin, Head of Dekkhinathiri Township DRD delivered a presentation on environmental conservation, highlighting measures to reduce smoke and air pollution, proper waste management, environmental and indoor air pollution, and preventive measures against diseases associated with poor environmental conditions. Project staff clarified the benefits of reducing plastic bag consumption, different types of waste, and practical approaches to environmental protection. Village elders and residents raised questions during the interactive session, which were answered by the officials.
