THE Department of Ru­ral Development, under the Ministry of Coopera­tives and Rural Develop­ment, Taunggyi District, Shan State (South), con­ducted a field inspection to review the progress of pig farming activities implemented under the Rural Economic Devel­opment Fund Establish­ment Project (RBF) in Hpetpone Village, Taung­gyi Township, yesterday.

 

Taunggyi District Department of Rural De­velopment Head U Nyunt Win, Township Depart­ment of Rural Develop­ment Head U Zaw Win and officials observed the group-based pig farming activities carried out by four groups and inspected feed storage conditions. He met RBF group mem­bers to discuss feed pric­es, production costs, and market selling prices, coordinating necessary arrangements based on local requirements.

 

The income-generat­ing pig farming activities in Hpetpone Village are being implemented using an RBF project seed fund of K30 million, along with contributions from group members, to successfully operate and expand their businesses to ensure increased household incomes. — Cho Than Nyunt (Rural)
