AN archery competition and prize presentation ceremony to mark International Olympic Day 2026 was held yesterday morning at the archery training range in Wunna Theikdhi Sports Complex, Nay Pyi Taw.

Jointly organized by the Ministry of Sports, the Myanmar Olympic Committee and the Myanmar Archery Federation, the event featured men’s and women’s recurve and compound ranking rounds, along with preliminary and final matches.

Union Minister for Sports U Ye Myint Tun, who is also Chairman of the Myanmar Olympic Committee, and other officials attended the prize presentation ceremony. Awards, including medals and cash prizes, were presented to the winners of the various events and to the most improved male and female athletes. — MNA/KZL
