TRIUMPHANT frontline Tat­madaw members who carried out security and regional stabil­ity duties in Kayah State were warmly welcomed back at a cer­emony held yesterday evening at a local battalion in Mongphyat, Shan State (East).

 

The event saw Triangle Region Command Commander Maj-Gen Soe Myat Htut, officials, officers, soldiers, family mem­bers, departmental personnel, members of the Myanmar Police Force, war veterans’ organiza­tions, people’s militia members and residents.

 

The returning troops had served on frontline duties to en­sure peace and stability, public safety and protection of people’s lives and property across regions and states. The commander and attendees welcomed them back with auspicious Eugenia leaves and traditional ethnic music and dance performances.

 

Afterwards, the command­er delivered congratulatory re­marks and presented honorary cash awards to the returning Tatmadaw members. — MNA/ KZL
