TRIUMPHANT frontline Tatmadaw members who carried out security and regional stability duties in Kayah State were warmly welcomed back at a ceremony held yesterday evening at a local battalion in Mongphyat, Shan State (East).
The event saw Triangle Region Command Commander Maj-Gen Soe Myat Htut, officials, officers, soldiers, family members, departmental personnel, members of the Myanmar Police Force, war veterans’ organizations, people’s militia members and residents.
The returning troops had served on frontline duties to ensure peace and stability, public safety and protection of people’s lives and property across regions and states. The commander and attendees welcomed them back with auspicious Eugenia leaves and traditional ethnic music and dance performances.
Afterwards, the commander delivered congratulatory remarks and presented honorary cash awards to the returning Tatmadaw members. — MNA/ KZL
