TRAINEES from Basic Avia­tion Youth Training Course 10 and Advanced Aviation Youth Training Course 9, after com­pleting competitions at their respective training camps, car­ried out flight exercises today aboard aircraft and helicopters from the Air Force pilot training school at the local air base in Nay Pyi Taw.

 

Firstly, trainees, adminis­trative instructors, and teach­ers arrived at the local air base in Nay Pyi Taw this morning, where they were welcomed by officials. Before boarding and flying, they underwent gener­al health checks and received prior instruction on safety pro­cedures and rules to be followed during flight.

 

Following this, a total of 24 trainees took part in practical flight exercises. These includ­ed six trainees who achieved first, second and third places from the two Advanced Avia­tion Youth Training Camps in Northern Myanmar and Southern Myanmar, as well as 18 first-place trainees from 18 Basic Aviation Youth Training Camps, including Yangon, Maw­lamyine, Myitkyina, Namsan, Taunggyi, Toungoo, Loikaw, My­eik, Magway, Monywa, Homa­lin, Pathein, Meiktila, Nay Pyi Taw, Kengtung, Pyay, Mandalay and Coco Island. These trainees carried out practical flights in training aircraft, while 18 sec­ond-place trainees from the Basic Aviation Youth Training Camps undertook practical flights in training helicopters.

 

During the training flights, aviation youth trainees, togeth­er with their instructors, carried out walk-around checks, engine starting, hovering, taxiing, take-off, climbing and turning, cruis­ing, descending and turning, and approach and landing pro­cedures.

 

In addition, to gain practi­cal flying experience, trainees and teachers also participat­ed in flights aboard Tatmadaw (Air) transport aircraft. — MNA/ MKKS
