The Township Rural Development Department in Magway Township, Magway Region conducted a field trip this morning to inspect the concrete road paving work in Pahtoesan Village under the Government’s 100-day plan for the 2026-2027 fiscal year with the Village Development Project (VDP) fund and village public contributions.

On the occasion, Staff Officer of the township Rural Development Department U Soe Lin Htut and officials inspected the concrete road paving work with the members of the Village Committee members, and discussed the work to meet the set standards for timely completion, and coordinated the necessary measures based on the reports of the village committee members.

The concrete road measuring 400 feet long and 12 feet wide is being constructed with K24.0 million, including the Village Development Project (VDP) budget of K15.0 million for the 2026-2027 fiscal year and K9.0 million contributed by the villagers. The villagers themselves have been working on it since the second week of this month with the technical assistance of engineers from the Rural Development Department. Currently, 30 percent of the work has been completed. When the work is completed, it will bring benefit to 540 people from 140 households in the village, according to U Soe Lin Htut, Staff Officer of the Township Rural Development Department.—Nyein Thu
