UNION Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win inspected the office of the Shan State Food and Drug Administration Department, people’s hospitals and medical facilities in Taunggyi yesterday.
During the visit to the Shan State Food and Drug Administration Department, the Union minister met officials and stressed the importance of ensuring safe food for the public before inspecting the laboratory.
He also inspected software-based patient registration and healthcare services at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital-Taunggyi, as well as practical training sessions at the Taunggyi Midwifery Training School.
At the State Public Health Department office, the Union minister met health staff from Taunggyi Township and discussed prevention of seasonal infectious diseases during the rainy season and expansion of vaccination coverage.
In the afternoon, he inspected the Heho Station Hospital in Kalaw Township, an AHA Centre-funded building at Thayetpu Rural Health Centre and the Wetphyuyay rural health branch, and instructed officials to ensure smooth delivery of public healthcare services. — MNA/ KZL
