MYANMAR’S national tagball team departed on the morning of 21 April to compete in the 6th Asian Beach Games, which will be held in Sanya, China, from 24 to 27 April.

According to the competition format, Myanmar will compete in three events: men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles. The groupstage draw will be conducted one day before the competition.

In the men’s doubles event, Saw Friday and Si Thu Tun will represent Myanmar, while Naing Naing Win and Su Mon Aung will compete in the women’s doubles. Ko Ko Lwin and Khin Su Wai will take part in the mixed doubles event.

The current squad has been formed by combining experienced players who won two silver and two bronze medals at the 2015 SEA Games with two new players, aiming to strengthen the team’s overall performance. — Ko Nyi Lay/KZL
