Myittha 20 March
Summer crops are being cultivated based on water availability in Myittha Township, Kyaukse District, Mandalay Region. With the aim of ensuring local consumption and increasing crop income, a total of 2,125 acres of long-staple cotton have been targeted to cultivate in the pre-monsoon cropping season in Kume and Mongmaw Front Base, according to Township Department of Agriculture.
Officials from the Township Department of Agriculture are providing education on selecting high-yield seed, utilizing systematic agricultural methods, preventing pest infestation and increasing the rate of high-yield.
Selecting and planting high-yield cotton varieties and adding necessary inputs for long-staple cotton growers will boost high-yield and high-quality, according to a farmer who cultivates long-staple cotton.
