            Paukkhaung Township in Bago Region has successfully harvested 3,234 acres of peanuts planted during the winter crop season, according to the Paukkhaung Township Department of Agriculture.

            The township cultivates a variety of crops due to access to year-round irrigation water. This year, 11 acres of Sinpadaythar peanuts and 5,717 acres of Tontani peanuts and Vietnamese peanuts were planted in the township. As of now, 3,234 acres have been harvested, yielding an average of 80.48 percent per acre. A total of 260,272 baskets have been yielded. 

            The Township Department of Agriculture is educating farmers on the benefits of expanding the cultivation of high-yielding pure seeds and promoting systematic agricultural methods.
