THE Yangon Region Investment Committee (YRIC) approved six new investment projects in March 2026 that will create employment opportunities for 3,203 workers in Yangon Region.
“The approval was granted at the YRIC meeting 3/2026 held on 14 March. The projects include one fully domestic investment project in the hotels and tourism sector and five fully foreign investment projects in the industrial sector,” said an official from the YRIC.
During this period, there was an increase in the investment volume of existing businesses as well as new investment projects, along with a rise in the workforce. The YRIC approves new Myanmar and foreign investment projects every month in accordance with laws and procedures to create new job opportunities in Yangon Region. — ASH/TH
