UNION Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn visited the University of Foreign Languages, Yangon, to observe the filming of the Myanmar-Korea joint drama series yesterday. The production is being carried out as part of the Myanmar-Korea friendship and cultural exchange programme.

The Union minister enjoyed the filming of the discussion scene between the teacher and students, cordially greeted the artistes and presented the fruit basket to them.

The youth drama series All Pass is directed by Korean director Mr Shim Ki Won with a cast of 13 Koreans and nine Myanmar artistes. The filming will be made in the famous sites of Yangon from 26 February to the end of March, and also in Korea. The drama will be broadcast on MRTV Channel and IHQ Channel.

The Union minister also inspected the upgrading of the Wazira Cinema on the same evening, and the relevant officials reported on the upgrading work processes.

The Union minister noted that the electricity and water supply systems were completed, and the remaining work should be finalized as quickly as possible. He emphasized that while preserving the original architectural heritage of the theatre, the renovation should incorporate modern aesthetic elements and highlight the essence of the venue. The theatre should be capable of hosting international exhibitions, traditional ethnic events, and art exhibitions at a high standard.
