THE 2025-2026 Myanmar Women’s League Matchweek 16 took place on 21 and 22 Jan­uary, with defending cham­pions ISPE FC settling for a draw, allowing Ayeyawady Team to move to the top of the table.

 

In Matchweek 16, Ay­eyawady Team defeated Young Lionesses 4-0, Yangon United overcame YREO 3-1, and Myawady Team beat Yangon City 3-1. Shan Unit­ed and ISPE FC played out a goalless draw. ISPE FC slipped in the title race following the draw and dropped to second place. To retain the champi­onship, they must win both of their remaining matches, including the decisive clash against Ayeyawady. Meanwhile, Ayeyawady capitalized on ISPE FC’s draw to regain the lead by one point and now needs only four points from its final two matches to secure the title.

 

After Matchweek 16 of the 2025-2026 Myanmar Women’s League, Ayeyawady Team leads the standings with 36 points from 14 matches, followed by ISPE FC with 35 points from 14 matches. Thitsar Arman has 30 points from 14 matches, Yangon United has 29 points from 14 matches, and Shan United has 24 points from 14 matches. YREO has 11 points from 15 matches, while Young Lionesses and Myawady Team each have 8 points from 14 matches.
