ISPE team clinches title in Myanmar Women’s League 2022

In the final week of the 2022 My­anmar Women’s League, the 14th Match was played on 27 Novem­ber in three venues, and ISPE won the championship.

 

On the last day, the ISPE team defeated the Myawady team by 2-0. Sport and Physical Education Department team beat Taninthayi team by 3-0, and YREO beat Young Lionesses 2-1.

 

In the final match for the championship, the current cham­pion ISPE defeated Myawady and clinched the title. The ISPE team won the championship with the same score as the Thitsar Ar­man team, but with a better goal difference.

 

Since it was the final match for the championship, the ISPE team came out with a full set of strong players, and the Myawady team played the best response because if they won this match, they would get the second place.

 

Both teams were able to at­tack each other, but were unable to capitalize on their opportuni­ties, resulting in a goal at the end of the first half.

 

The goal was scored through a penalty kick by Hsu Pyae Pyae Kyaw near the end of the first half.

 

The ISPE team, which start­ed to score near the end of the first half, gained morale and forced to play in the second half. The second goal for the ISPE team was scored in the 49th min­ute by Hsu Pyae Pyae Kyaw.

 

After the competition, the ISPE won 10 games in 12 games, one draw, and one loss with a score of 31 points. Next, Thitsar Arman bagged second with 31 points and Myawady team fin­ished third with 26 points.

 

Sports and Physical Educa­tion Department gained 18 points and stood fourth and YREO and Young Lionesses garnered nine points each but Taninthayi team had no point with all losses.
