THE Yangon Region MSME One-Stop Service office has been opened to provide micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) with easier access to government services through a single-window system and help address business challenges, Dr Myo Thaw, Chairman of the Yangon Region MSME Development Agency and the region’s minister for Electricity, Energy, Industry and Transport, said at the opening ceremony on 21 July.

Located at 35, the corner of Kyaikwaing Pagoda Road and Min Dhamma Road in Mayangon Township, the office offers business registration and licensing, financial advice, technical and quality certification support, training, market linkage services, and other government services.

The minister said that, as Yangon is the country’s economic hub, strengthening the MSME sector is vital to both the regional and national economies. He urged staff to provide accurate, transparent and business-centred services, stressing that MSME development requires close cooperation between the government, relevant agencies, the private sector and entrepreneurs. — TWA/MKKS
