A high-level Myanmar delegation led by the President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, U Min Aung Hlaing, departed from Nay Pyi Taw Military Airport this morning by special plane to pay a state visit to the People's Republic of China at the invitation of the President of the People's Republic of China, Mr. Xi Jinping.

The high-level Myanmar delegation led by President U Min Aung Hlaing was seen off at the airport by Vice President U Nyo Saw, Vice President Daw Nan Ni Ni Aye, Speaker of the House of Representatives U Khin Yi, Speaker of the National Assembly U Aung Lin Dway, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces General Ye Win Oo, Union Ministers, Chairman of the Nay Pyi Taw Council, Commander of the Nay Pyi Taw Regional Command, and officials from the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Myanmar and the Military Embassy.

The President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar was accompanied on the trip by Union Ministers U Khin Maung Yi, U Tin Maung Swe, Dr. Kan Zaw, U Ko Ko Lwin, Dr. Charlie Than, U Htun On, Chief Minister of Kachin State U Khet Htein Nang, Chief Minister of Shan State U Sai Htein Soe, senior military officers, deputy ministers and officials from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence.

During the visit, the President will meet with the Chinese President and hold bilateral talks, meet with the Chinese Premier and the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China, receive state leaders and business leaders, attend a business conference and visit high-tech industries. The President will also hold a friendly and open exchange of views on strengthening the existing brotherly relations between Myanmar and China, and enhancing cooperation in all sectors between the governments and people of the two countries in economic, security and other areas, the report said.
