A total of 20,000 visses of onions were sold to the public in townships across Yangon Region at lower prices than the market rate.
The distribution was carried out on 16 March through coordination by the Yangon Region Cooperative Department to support the development and continuous operation of cooperative retail businesses and to provide basic food items to consumers and the public at affordable prices.
The onions were sourced from the Seikphyu area in Magway Region through cooperation with the Magway Region Cooperative Syndicate and distributed to cooperative associations and the public across Yangon Region. — Bala/KZL
