YANGON Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and his party inspected the fuel distribution situation in the Yangon Region on the afternoon of 4 March.
The region’s chief minister and his team arrived at Max Terminal in Thilawa Port, Kyauktan Township and met departmental officials, the Petroleum Products Supervision and Inspection Department's, Chief Inspector U Than Htun Oo of the Ministry of Energy and officials, Myanmar Fuel Oil Importers and Distributors Association Acting Chairman U Myo Myint Swe, and officials from terminals in Thilawa Port.
The region’s chief minister first gave instructions for a sufficient petroleum supply, proper fuel distribution to petrol stations and regular fuel sales at fuel filling stations.
The chief inspector from the Petroleum Products Supervision and Inspection Department of the Ministry of Energy then clarified the fuel supply and purchase order, as the acting chairman of the Myanmar Fuel Oil Importers and Distributors Association explained the situation of importing fuel by tanker.
Afterwards, attendees discussed the business situation, and the Chief Minister gave the necessary instructions.
The chief minister also inspected the filling of fuel tankers and the distribution at the filling points at the Max Terminal, Apex Gas and Oil Great Petroleum Terminal and the Myat Myitta Mon Petrol Terminal in the Thilawa Port area. — Zwe Htet Ko (IPRD)/ MKKS
