Yathedaung team wins 2019 MPT U-14 Football Tournament (Rakhine State)

THE Yathedaung U-14 team won the 2019 MPT U-14 Football Tour-nament  (Rakhine  State)  after  beating Kyaukphyu (A) team by 4-2 in a penalty shoot yesterday at the Wasali football ground in Sittway Township, Rakhine State.


The  two  teams  were  tied  1-1 after extra time, so a penal-ty shoot was declared, in which Yathedaung beat Kyaukphyu (A) with a 4-2 score.


Meanwhile,  in  the  third  place match, the Maungtaw team beat the Thandwe (A) team with a 2-1 score. 


An  awards  ceremony  was  held  after  the  final  match,  in  which  the  referees  for  the  final  match were presented gifts by U Tun Shwe, the business manager of Myanmar Care. 


The  best  forward  player  award  was  received  by  Han  Thein  Tun  from  Yathedaung  team, the best midfielder award was received by Myo Than Kyaw from Thandwe (A), and the best defender  award  went  to  Myo  Hlaing Win from Kyaukphyu (A). 


The best goalkeeper award was received by Win Myo Aung from  Kyaukphyu  (A),  while  the  best scorer award was given to Nay Lin Soe from Maungtaw.  


The  best  player  award  for  the tourney was received by Naing Aung from Yathedaung team, while  the  fair  play  award  was  handed to Thandwe (A) 


Then, the players of the third place  team,  Maungtaw,  were  awarded  individual  medals  by  Rakhine State Agriculture, Live-stock and Irrigation Minister U Kyaw Lwin. They were also presented with K300,000 in cash by Police Brig-Gen Mya Win.


The  first  runner-up  team,  Kyaukphyu  (A),  was  awarded  individual  medals  by  Rakhine  State  Development  Minister  U  Win Myint, and K500,000 in cash by  Myanmar  National  League  CEO U Soe Moe Kyaw.   


The  winners,  Yathedaung  team,  were  awarded  individual  medals by Rakhine State Social Affairs  Minister  Dr.  Chan  Tha  and K1 million in cash by Rakh-ine  State  Chief  Minister  U  Nyi  Pu. 


Afterwards,  the  Chief  Min-ister handed the championship trophy  to  the  winning  team.
