Yangon United signs midfielder Maung Maung Win from Zwekabin United

The Yangon United has signed midfielder Maung Maung Win from the Myanmar National League club Zwekabin United on a two-year contract.


Maung Maung Win said that, "The reason why I join this club is that the club made an offer to me, and this is one of the best days of my life and a challenge I am really looking forward to. And I believe Yangon United is the perfect place for me to continue to develop as a player". He also expressed that, "I am very happy to join this club and I want to say the fans to keep your support on me. And I will make sure to give the best of mine to the club".


Mg Mg Win made his professional carrier in 2009 with Magwe FC for two years, Zeyar Shwe Myay in 2 years, then to Rakhine United for 2 years. After 2 years of playing in Rakhine, he moved to ChinLand (former GFA) in the 2016 and 2017 season. He spent 2 years in Zwekapin United. He previously represented the nation at various youth levels. Then he had been selected in Myanmar National Team in 2018.


Yangon United Team Manager U Myint Thein said, "We had tried to sign since last year but the contract could begin this year. We want our midfield to get stronger. And he can show what he is in Myanmar National League in every season. Besides, he is strong enough out of injury. Although he played in the middle clubs, his performance was good enough to show on the pitch. That is why we sign him".
