A ceremony to provide financial assistance and health gears for the township commttee on Covid-19 prevention, control and treatment was held at the meeting room of Mohnin district Public Health Department in the town of Mohnyin, Mohnyin district, kachin state yesterday morning.
At the event, U Sein Win and Daw Khin San Win family donated K 200000 to the committee and the donation was accepted by U Tin Aye, patron of Kachin state Hluttaw, on behalf of the committee.
Then, U Naing Win Tun and wife Daw Than Than Hein ( Shwe PYi Thein Home Construction Materials Trading) donated 20 suits of personal protective equipment (PPE), five bottles of hand gel, 300 pieces of gloves and 250 pieces of facial masks to 100-bedded Mohnyin district hospital. Lar Myar Si, head of the district hospital and the deputy head of the district hospital accepted the donation and honoured the donors with a certificate of honour.
Similarly, A Mohnyin-based philanthropic team, which was recently set up with the intention of preventing the spread of Covid-18 in the township and lending a hand to health workers in fighting the deadly virus, donated 90 suits of PPE, 1500 pieces of surgical masks, 15 liters of hand sanitizer, 30 bottles of methyl alcohol and three infrared thermometers to Mohnyin district hospital for the second time on 3rd April.
Besides, the team gave away 50 suits of PPE, 1000 pieces of facial masks, ten 500 ml bottles of hand sanitizer, ten bottles of methyl alcohol and two infrared thermometers to Mohnyin District Public Health Department on the same day, according to the team.—Kyaw Kyaw Htwe( Mohnyin)
