Thayet, May 20
A vocational training course on consumer goods production, organized by the Township Rural Development Department in collaboration with the Small Scale Industries Department, concluded on May 19 at the Thayet District Rural Development Department office hall.
The training was part of the 2026–2027 fiscal year’s 100-day plan aimed at creating employment opportunities, promoting self-reliance, and improving the socio-economic lives of rural residents.
At the closing ceremony, Pyithu Hluttaw representative U Naing Oo Kyaw delivered an opening speech. Prizes were awarded to outstanding trainees, while completion certificates were presented by U Moe Win, Staff Officer of the Thayet District Rural Development Department. A trainee also delivered words of thanks on behalf of the participants.
The free five-day training, held from May 15 to 19, was attended by 20 trainees from nine villages in Thayet District. — U Soe Lwin
