VICE-PRESIDENT U Nyo Saw received a delegation led by Mr Indrika Ratwatte, Acting UN Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Deputy Emergency Relief Coordinator, in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
The two sides exchanged views on strengthening cooperation and mutual understanding in disaster management, post-earthquake recovery efforts in Myanmar, prospects for enhanced cooperation in delivering humanitarian assistance, the government’s humanitarian relief programmes, the successful and transparent holding of the 2025 multiparty democratic general election, and political developments in Myanmar.
Also present at the meeting were Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs U Ko Ko Kyaw, Deputy Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Than Soe and other relevant officials. — MNA/KTZH
