Universities’ literary festival  held in Pyi

Universities’ literary festival that features books shows and book sales, jointly organized by Higher Education Department, Lower Education Department and Myanmar Library Foundation ( Bago Region), was opened at Pyi University in the town of Pyi in Bago region this morning.

 

Bago region minister for social affairs Daw Nyunt Nyunt htay, Pyithu Hluttaw Education Promotion Committee chairman U Tin Aung, Pyi University Rector Dr. Aung Aung Min and deputy chairman of Myanmar Library Foundation (Bago Region) Daw Khin Hninsi Shwe cut a ribbon to formally open the festival.

 

Then, the region social affairs minister and U Tin Aung made speeches, followed by the presentation about the purpose of the festival by Daw Khin Hninsi Shwe. After that, officials posed for a documentary photo. Afterwards, schoolchildren from Basic Education High Schools and university students from Pyi University entertained the audience with songs before officials viewed round exhibitions and book shops displayed in the festival.
