A Myanmar delegation led by Un­ion Minister for Energy U Ko Ko Lwin visited the Lu An Chemical Plant in Changzhi, China, on 9 November.

 

The Union minister-led My­anmar delegation toured the Aer­ospace Museum and Research and Development Centre of CE­TEC (Changzheng Engineering Technology Co Ltd) in Beijing, on 10 November.

 

On arrival at the CETEC, they met the company’s officials and discussed the feasibility study to ensure the quality of charcoal, the primary raw material in the production of fertilizer from coal, reduction of impact on the envi­ronment using advanced technol­ogy like Clean Coal Technology (CCT), compliance with interna­tional standards not to harm the environment, systematic transfer of advanced technologies to be used in implementing the project and opening of lecture and prac­tical training courses to promote Human Resources(HR).

 

Moreover, the Union minis­ter and members also partici­pated in a discussion with the experts at the meeting hall of WISDRI Engineering & Research Incorporation Limited in Beijing yesterday. During the meeting, they discussed the technology of extracting oxygen and nitro­gen using a cryogenic process, which will be mainly used in the production of fertilizer from coal and the technology of generating required electricity through coal. — MNA/KTZH
