A training course on compiling voter’s list for holding 2020 General Elections successfully was opened at the religious edifice in Ward-14, Yankin Township in Yangon Region this morning.
The event was also attended by Township Administrator U Min Maung Maung, members of the township election sub-commission and departmental officials. The Union Election Commission (UEC) designated the year 2019 as voter list compilation and has drawn up a plan in cooperation with the Union Government Office and the Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population so that every citizen can cast their vote.
The training course was attended by 83 polling station officers in the township and basic voter list compilation will be conducted after the training courses are given.—Lin Lin Tun
