The closing of a traditional martial arts training course was held in Laymyethna Township, Ayeyawady Region yesterday afternoon.
The training course was jointly organized by the Sports and Physical Education Department and the township women’s affairs association. At the ceremony, an official from the township sports and physical education committee gave a speech and a Thaing master from the Myanmar Thaing Federation explained the purpose of the course. The outstanding trainees were presented prizes by concerned officials.
The trainees were given training about basic techniques of Bando by two Thaing masters from the Myanmar Thaing Federation. The 3-week training course was attended by 126 trainees above 10 years old throughout the township.—Shwe Moe (IPRD)
