The final match of an inter-ward/village open football contest took place at Aung Mingalar sports ground in Thanbyuzayet Township, Mon State on 23 October.
The squad representing Panga Village defeated the team representing Aung Thayar Ward 2-0 in the final game of the competition. The Mon State lawmaker U Nyan Hein, head of the township police force Police Captain Win Zaw and departmental officials awarded individual prizes and champion trophy to the winning teams and players.
The event, jointly organized by the township sports and physical education committee and Future Light Mobile was held from 2 to 23 October with 17 participating teams throughout the township.
