A charitable group in the village and locals jointly conducted a mass garbage clearance campaign and set fire to piles of rubbish such as used masks and plastics outside the village.
Fire broke out at around 2:30 pm on 10 February in Chanpyin Village in Thandwe Township, Rakhin State. The fire is believed to have started from a drunken man.
