Tatmadaw families donated foodstuff such as rice, edible oil, salt and beans to Myanmar Sports Media Federation on 12 June morning, it is learnt.
The donation ceremony was held in the Tatmadaw hall on U Wisara Road in Yangon. At the ceremony, Commander of Yangon Command Major-General Thet Pon explained the aims of donation and handed over the four items of foodstuffs and coronavirus protection things to chairman U Naing Tun of Myanmar Sports Media Federation. The ceremony was attended by the officials from Yangon Region military command and the secretary and members from Myanmar Sports Media Federation.
Then, an official from Myanmar Sports Media Federation gave the thankful speech. The donation items include 100 bags of rice, cooking oil, salt, eggs, 1000 masks and 50 hand gel bottles. Last month, Tatmadaw families also donated the foodstuffs to Myanmar Journalists Association, Myanmar Theatrical Association, Myanmar Artists Organization, Myanmar Cartoonists and Myanmar Film Association.—Myint Maung (Translated by Hay Mar)
