A ceremony to provide relief items to storm victims in Gyobingauk Township, Tharrawady District, Bago Region was held at the Township General Administration Department yesterday.
At the ceremony, Regional Minister for Karen Ethnic Affairs Naw Pwal Say gave opening remarks. Next, storm victims were provided cash aids through Township Administrator U Tin Ko Ko.
The house roofs of 73 houses and one monastery were flipped over and two houses collapsed due to the strong winds.
Present on the occasion were Regional Minister for Karen Ethnic Affairs Naw Pwal Say, staff officer from Disaster Management Department Daw Win Win Mar, Township Administrator U Tin Ko Ko, Police Major Win Myint and departmental personnel.
