A stake-driving ceremony for construction of the town hall was held in the town of Minbu, Magway Region yesterday.
At the event, Magway Region Hluttaw Speaker U Tar, Minister for Ministry of the region Social Affairs Dr. Khin Maung Aye, Minister for Ministry of the region Planning, Finance and Development affairs U Zaw Min, the region Hluttaw Representatives U Kyaw Suan Yee and U Kyaw Ngwe, Director of the region Development Affairs U Htin Aung, the district Administrator U San Aung, the township Administrator U Thien Zaw Kan, chairman of the township development affairs U New Aung and departmental officials drove the stakes at the designated places of the construction site and sprinkled scented water on it.
The two-story building measuring 142 ft. in length and 68 ft. in width will be built by spending K 300.0 million allocated by the regional government, according to an official from the township development affairs.—U Myo Maung Maung, IPRD
