THE Varsity Esports Championship 2026, organ­ized by the Myanmar Es­ports Federation (MESF) in collaboration with PUBG Mobile, concluded in Yan­gon with six university rep­resentative teams earning top honours.

The tournament, held at the Yangon University RC, featured competitions in PUBG Mobile and Mo­bile Legends, attracting more than 1,000 university students and young esports fans.

In the Mobile Legends competition, KMD College won the championship ti­tle, while YTV (Yangon) finished as first runner-up and Dagon University (DGU) secured second runner-up.

The PUBG Mobile competition saw intense matches among teams including UIT (Yangon), MMMC (Yangon), KMD College, MIC (Yangon), and TUMA (Meiktila Universi­ty), with three teams ulti­mately claiming the cham­pion, first runner-up, and second runner-up titles.

MESF Vice-President U Kyaw Htet Lin congrat­ulated the winning teams, saying the tournament provided opportunities for talented university play­ers to develop their skills and potentially represent Myanmar in international esports competitions.

MESF plans to award prizes to the six success­ful university teams in the coming days and will organize the second sea­son of the Varsity Esports Championship in Decem­ber. — Thitsa (MNA)/ST
