Singapore-based philanthropic organization donates 90 bikes to students in Saw Tsp.

Lesswalk.org, a Singapore-based philanthropic organization founded by Myanmar entrepreneur Mike Than Tun Win donated 492 bicycles to students from some schools in Yaw Region.


Those schools are located in remote areas and students have difficult access to the schools. 90 bikes were delivered to 90 students from far-flung villages during an event held at a high school in Laungshae Village on 11 September. At the ceremony, Secretary of the Yaw Youth Central Committee U Win Zaw and members presented bikes to the students on behalf of the donor organization.


The village administrator U Nay Lin Tun, Medical Superintendent of the station hospital Dr. Htin Kyaw, Headmaster U Aung Win and Chairman of the school board of trustees U Tin Pe gave speeches and presented certificates of honour to the donors, according to U Than Zaw Oo, information in-charge of the committee.—IPRD
