OFFICIALS from the Department of Rural Development inspected the progress of tube-well sinking process and related water supply work in Innpetlet Village, Sinbaungwe Township, on 25 July. The project is being implemented to ensure year-round access to safe drinking water for rural residents.
Aunglan District Department of Rural Development Head U Win Naing and engineers looked into the construction of a 4.5-inch-diameter and 500-foot-deep tube-well, a 2,400-gallon elevated water tank, the installation of a power meter and meter housing, and a 140-foot chain-link fence around the project site in the village. He met representatives of the contractor, Myint Mo San Htar Company, and members of the village water supply committee.
The project is implemented with K78.4 million provided under the regional government fund for the 2026-2027 financial year. The project was launched in the third week of July this year by Myint Mo San Htar Company under the technical supervision and close monitoring of township DRD officials. Upon completion, the project will provide a reliable year-round supply of safe drinking water for 120 households with a population of 509 people. — Maung Khaing (Rural)
