Short circuit believed to be cause of house fire in Aunglan Twsp.

A fire broke out in Sanchaung Ward in the Town of Aunglan, Magway Region at about 6:00 pm on May 31, according the Township Fire Services Department.

 

Fire was believed to have been started by an electric short circuit in the house and spread to nearby house and completely destroyed two houses. 

 

68 firemen and auxiliary firefighters from the Township Fire Services Department rushed to the incident scene to put out the fire in collaboration with locals using eight fire engines and the blaze was completely extinguished at about 6:43 pm.

 

The estimated damage to property destroyed by the fire was over Ks. 2.1 million. But no casualties have been reported in the incident so far. – Myo Thein(IPRD)
