A ceremony to furnish social pension to the elderly over 85 years in Paungpyin Township was held at the Township General Administration Department yesterday.
On the occasion, Township Administrator gave remarks and handed over cash aids to a total of 263 senior citizens at a rate of K 30,000 per head. The Social Welfare Department has been providing social pension to the senior citizens once every three months.
