Member of the State Admin­istration Council Mahn Nyein Maung, along with Regional Chief Minister U Tin Maung Win and officials, inspected agricul­tural activities in Labutta and Myaungmya districts yesterday.

 

The SAC member inspect­ed the hemp seed plantation  and 100 acres of model mecha­nized paddy farm in Ohnpinsu Village in Mawlamyinegyun Township.

 

 

He watched harvesting of 250 acres of New Ayeyar-1 hy­brid paddy field and observed the yield per acre of 242 bas­kets of paddy. The SAC member and party visited cultivation of super sun-41 sunflower in five acres in Wedaunt Village and Sinshwekya-2 sunflower planta­tion in Kala Village of Wakema Township.

 

Furthermore, the SAC member observed broadcasting of fertilizers, solar water irriga­tion, and making EM Bokashi natural fertilizers in Madawpin Village, Myaungmya Township.

 

They attended a workshop to achieve the target yield of 10 major crops in Wahdu Village, Kangyidaunt Township.

 

Then, the SAC member and party viewed successful thriving of Strip Cropping (sunflower super sun-41, seedless corn, black-eyed pea), super sun-41 and Sinshwekya-1 sunflower plantations in Kangyidaunt and Pathein townships.—MNA/TKO
